Here are some links to some free family history sites that I have found useful when researching :-
This site has birth, marriage and death GRO indexes from 1837 onwards the list is not complete, but it’s a great place to start researching your ancestors.
This free site provides links to sites that offer UK birth, marriage, death & census records, it’s spilt into counties and the BMD indexes are created from local records so contain more information.
This site run by the above has millions of birth, marriage and death records, parish records, census records & military records for all over the world.
The CWGC lists every solider and some civilians that died in conflicts between 1914-1947, information given can include age, dob, place of birth, dod, place of death, burial place, next of kin & home address.
This site lists thousands of genealogy web sites and is a must for new comers.
The Imperial War Museum are slowly uploading all the pictures they have of solider's who fought in World War I, the project won’t be finished till August 2014, but it well worth a look.
My loving husband designed some forms for birth, christening, marriage, death and burial entries, I find them very useful when going to a library, meeting or family gathering. I just print them out and take them along, ready to fill in all the data, if you would like to use them just click on the links below and a new window will open up and you can save a copy to print out.
